Folin-Ciocalteu reagent, gallic acid monohydrate, and sodium carbonate were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich GmbH (Buchs, Switzerland). Extraction solvent ethanol (96%) was purchased from Vilniaus degtine, (Vilnius, Lithuania). Water used in HPLC and for the sample preparation was produced with a Millipore Super Purity Water System, (Sigma-Aldrich Corp., St. Louis, MO, USA).
