Snap25 gcamp6s

Manufactured by Jackson ImmunoResearch

Snap25-GCaMP6s is a fluorescent calcium indicator protein designed for monitoring neuronal activity. It consists of a genetically encoded calcium-binding protein fused to the Snap-tag protein. This construct allows for specific labeling and tracking of neural cells expressing Snap25, a synaptic protein.

Fluorescent Mouse Lines for Neuroscience

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Snap25-GCaMP6s (JAX#025111), Thy1-YFP-H (JAX#003782), and Cx3cr1-GFP (JAX#005582) mouse lines were purchased from The Jackson Laboratory and maintained on the C57BL/6J background. Mice were group-housed in the UCSC animal facility, with 12 h light-dark cycle and access to food and water ad libitum. Mice of both sexes were used in the study. All animal studies were performed in accordance with protocols approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) of UCSC.

Generation of Kcnt1 Y777H Knockin Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The animals included in this study were housed and used in compliance with the National Institutes of Health Guidelines for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at the University of Vermont. Experimental mice were generated by first mating the Kcnt1 Y777H knockin line 17 to the Snap25-GCaMP6s line (Jackson Labs Stock No: 025111). 33 (link) Double heterozygous offspring were then mated to generate mice carrying the Snap25-GCaMP6s construct that were either homozygous Y777H or WT at the Kcnt1 locus. Kcnt1 Y777H genotyping was performed as previously reported 17 and Snap25-GCaMP6s was genotyped following the protocol supplied by Jackson Labs.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
