Glycerol (99%) was purchased from the chemical company BASF, Ludwigshafen, Germany; iso-MTHPA hardener (i-MTHPA, 99%) was supplied by Chimex Ltd., St. Petersburg, Russia; and 4-methylimidazole (4-MIm, 99%) was purchased from Sigma Aldrich, Burlington, MA, USA. Anhydrous zinc acetylacetonate (Zn(AcAc)2) was synthesized according to methods known in the literature [55 (link)]. Ethyleneglycole (EG, 99.9%), N-methylpirrolidone (NMP, 99%), acetone, dichloromethane, toluene, ethanol, chloroform, dioxane, and tetrahydrofurane (THF) were purchased from Rushim, Moscow, Russia. All chemicals were used as received without further purification.
