Postharvest Respiratory Evaluation of Fruit

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Respiratory rate was measured by using the infrared gas analyzer (Li-6262 CO2/H2O analyzer, LI-COR, Inc., USA) according to the method described by Wu et al. [5 (link)]. Twelve fruit of each replicate was randomly selected, weighted and placed in a 9.5 L plastic container. The change of CO2 concentration was determined and the respiratory rate was expressed as CO2 (mg kg−1 h−1, fresh weight). TSS and TA were determined by using a hand-held digital refractometer (Model PAL-BX|ACID F5, Atago, Tokyo, Japan) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. TSS was expressed as Brix (%). A total of five biological replicates of 0, 1, 4, and 7 d samples were used to the measure respiratory rate, TSS and TA.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
