C57bl 6 wt controls

Manufactured by Jackson ImmunoResearch
Sourced in United States

C57BL/6 WT controls are wild-type mouse strains that serve as reference samples in research applications. They provide a baseline for comparison against genetically modified mouse models.

NLRP3 Knockout Mice: C57Bl/6 Model

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All experiments were performed on age-matched, 8- to 10-week-old male mice on a C57Bl/6 background. C57Bl/6 (WT controls) and NLRP3−/− animals were purchased from the Jackson Laboratory and housed under SPF conditions. C57Bl/6 germ-free mice were bred at the University of Utah, and sterility was checked by anaerobic and aerobic microbial plating and PCR. All animal use was in compliance with federal regulations and guidelines set by the University of Utah’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (protocol #14-05009).

Breeding and Husbandry of Transgenic Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Breeding pair of pink1 knockout mice (pink1−/−, RRID: IMSR_JAX: 017946) and C57BL/6 WT controls were purchased from the Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, Maine). Eµ‐XBP‐1s traNSGenic mice (XBP‐1s+/+) on a C57BL/6J background were kindly provided by Dr. Bei Liu at the Medical University of South Carolina. NSG at 8–10 weeks of ages were obtained from the Jackson Laboratory. Mice were fed standard chow ad libitum and kept on a 12 h light, 12 h dark cycle. All protocols for mouse experiments were reviewed and approved under Animal Protocol Number A097‐17‐04 by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Duke University Medical Center.

Interleukin-1 Receptor Knockout Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Interleukin-1 receptor 1 knock out mice (Il1r1−/−) and C57Bl/6 WT controls were obtained from Jackson laboratories. Experiments were performed on 8- to 12-week-old mice. All experimental procedures involving animals were approved by Animal Care Committee at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Genetic Modeling of GSDMD and Caspase-11

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
GSDMD and caspase-11 knockout (KO; GSDMD-/- and Casp-11-/-) mice on a C57BL/6 background were bred and housed under specific pathogen-free conditions in our facility. C57BL/6 (WT) controls were purchased from The Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME). Littermates were co-housed for at least 7 days before experimentation. Male mice aged 8–12 weeks, weighing 25–30 g, were used in experiments. All experimental protocols were approved by the Institutional Animal Use and Care Committee of the University of Pittsburgh, and all the experiments were performed in accordance with National Institutes of Health guidelines for the use of laboratory animals.

Generation and Maintenance of Il17ra-/- Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Mice were acquired by materials transfer agreement (MTA) with Amgen (Il17ra−/−) [32 (link)]. In all experiments, age- and gender-matched littermate controls or C57BL/6 WT controls (The Jackson Laboratory, Inc., Bar Harbor, ME, USA) were used. All mice were housed with food and water ad libitum under a 12 h dark/light cycle in a specific pathogen-free facility at the University of Toledo.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
