Onetouch ultra blood glucose meter and test strips

Manufactured by LifeScan
Sourced in Canada

The ONETOUCH Ultra blood glucose meter and test strips are a product line designed to measure blood glucose levels. The meter is a compact, handheld device that uses disposable test strips to analyze a small blood sample and display the glucose reading. The test strips are designed to work with the ONETOUCH Ultra meter for the purpose of blood glucose monitoring.

Glucose Tolerance Test in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The glucose tolerance test (GTT) was carried out on 8–10-week-old male mice unless otherwise indicated. Prior to studies, mice were fasted overnight (GTT). In GTT studies, the mice were injected intraperitoneally (IP) with d-glucose solution (2 g/kg body weight). The tail blood glucose concentration was measured at 0, 15, 30, 60 and 120 min with a commercially available ONETOUCH Ultra blood glucose meter and test strips (Life Scan). A hyperglycemicclamp was performed, and calculated as described previously.33 (link)

Metabolic Biomarker Assessment Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were measured using commercial kits (Diagnostic Chemicals, Ltd., Oxford, CT). Plasma and hepatic triglyceride levels were determined by using Triglyceride GPO reagent (Pointe Scientific, Lincoln Park, MI). Hepatic and plasma total cholesterol, plasma HDLc (in ApoB-depleted plasma), and hepatic total palmitate levels were measured by GC-MS [19 (link)]. Blood glucose was monitored using the OneTouch Ultra Blood Glucose Meter and test strips (Lifescan, Milpitas, CA) and plasma insulin levels were measured using an ELISA assay (Mercodia, Uppsala, Sweden).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
