Genetic Factors in Male Infertility

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
T-test was used to measure the differences in the distributions of clinical characteristics, including age, hormone and sperm parameters between groups and cases. The difference of FSHR rs1394205, rs6165 and rs6166 polymorphism and FSHB rs10835638 polymorphism between the infertile and fertile groups was calculated using a logistic regression model, SNPs coded as three categories: wild-type homozygote (WW, reference), the heterozygous (WR) and rare allele homozygote (RR), which yielded a p value and odds ratio (OR) with the corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI), using SPSS for Windows 14.0 (SPSS, Inc., Chicago, Illinois). And P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The linkage disequilibria and haplotypes were analyzed with SHEsis software (http://analysis.bio-x.cn/SHEsisMain.htm). Because only the data of Age was collected completely, genetic association tests have been adjusted for Age effects.

Prognostic Significance of Phosphorylated Proteins in Breast Cancer

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The chi-square-test was used to test possible associations between clinicopathological factors and p-Ser167-ERα, p-MAPK, p-p90RSK, p-mTOR, or p-S6K1. This test was also used to assess correlations between p-Ser167-ERα and p-MAPK, p-p90RSK, p-mTOR, or p-S6K1 levels. Kaplan–Meier curves were plotted to assess the effects of p-Ser167-ERα level on relapse-free survival (RFS). Survival curves were compared using the log–rank test. P-values of 0.05 or less were considered statistically significant. Multivariate α proportional Cox models were used to assess the prognostic significance of p-Ser167-ERα, p-MAPK, p-p90RSK, p-mTOR, and p-S6K1 levels, and their relationship to several clinicopathological factors. Statistical analysis was carried out using spss for Windows 14.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).

Tapse and Rad Predicting Atrial Fibrillation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All data are presented as a mean ± standard deviation. Continuous parameters were compared using a 2-tailed student's t-test. The Mann-Whitney U test was applied for nonparametric data. Receiver-operator curve analysis (ROC) was used to determine the optimal cut-off value of TAPSE and RAD to discriminate patients at increased risk of AF development.
All results were considered statistically significant when p<0.05. Analyses were performed with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS for windows 14.0, Chicago, IL, USA).

Genetic Comparison of Addiction Profiles

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Chi-square analysis was done to compare genotypic and allelic distribution between control subjects and addicts using SPSS for Windows 14.0. Statistical significance level was set at P < 0.05.

Statistical Analysis of Radiological Findings

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
SPSS for windows 14.0 (SPSS Inc, Chicago; IL) was used for statistical analysis. Variables are described as meanÂ + -standard deviation (SD) or percentages. Clinical significance of radiological finding were analyzed with chi-square test and when a cell have expected count less than five with Fishers’ exact test. Odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were given for each significant radiological variable. For the calculation of correlations between CXR and CT findings, kappa statistics were used. In multivariate analyses, all of the radiological parameters were included due to their clinical significance.

Retrospective Database Analysis of Survival

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The data were collected in a database (Microsoft Access 2.0, Microsoft Corporation, Seattle, USA) and evaluated retrospectively. Unless otherwise specified, the data are expressed as median and range. Survival analysis was determined by means of the Kaplan-Meier method (log-rank test) and specific risk factors by the Mann-Whitney U test using SPSS for Windows 14.0 (SPSS Inc. Chicago, IL, USA). A P value below 0.05 was considered to be significant.

Group Comparison Analysis using ANOVA

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Statistical analyses were performed with the SPSS software package (SPSS for Windows 14.0, SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA). One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to evaluate group comparison. If the group by each time interaction was significantly different (p < 0.05), differences between groups were compared with a post hoc test (Tukey’s). Data represents the average of three independent experiments.

Clinicopathological Correlates and Survival Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The correlation between clinicopathological features and protein expression was explored using the Chi square test. For 2 × 2 tables, Fisher’s exact test was used. The association among CXCR-4, PKC-δ, and CD133 expression was calculated by Spearman’s correlation analysis. The Kaplan–Meier method was used to generate the overall and disease-free survival curves, and the log-rank test was employed to compare the two curves. The time between therapy and recurrence or metastasis or disease-related mortality was measured to determine disease-free survival. The cases were censored either at the time of death for patients who died during the study or at the time of the last examination for patients who did not receive a follow-up examination. The Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to perform the Univariant and Multivariant survival analyses. The survival analysis was done using SPSS software (SPSS for windows 14.0, SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) and the statistical analyses were done with Acastat Statistical software, version 6.1 (Acastat Software, Winter Garden, Florida, USA). For all statistical studies, a p < 0.05 was considered significant. Multiple tests were used without adjustments due to the exploratory nature of the study.

Factors Affecting IVF Pregnancy Rates

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Preoperative and intraoperative data were compared between patent and non-patent groups using Student's t-test or Chi-square test to identify factors affecting the patency rate. Pregnancy was calculated from the date of surgery to the date of clinical pregnancy (ultrasound confirmation). Patients with no pregnancy were recorded at the date of last follow-up. Pregnancy rate was estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method and differences were determined by the log rank test. Univariate and multivariate analyses with Cox regression models identified predictors of pregnancy. All analyses involved SPSS for Windows 14.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). All statistical tests were two-tailed with P < 0.05 considered significant.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
