ESR 100 electrospraying equipment (NanoNC, Seoul, Korea) and gas-tight syringes (Hamilton Co, Reno, NV, USA) were used for the preparation of microspheres. SEM (S-4800; Hitachi Ltd., Tokyo, Japan), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) (DSC Q20; TA Instruments, New Castle, DE, USA), FTIR spectrophotometer-430 (Shimadzu Corporation, Tokyo, Japan), sputter coater (K575K; EMI Teck, UK), and heating dry bath (confido–S20H, Seoul, Korea) were used for the physicochemical evaluation. The HPLC system for release test and drug content assay consisted of an AllianceHPLC e2695 system with 2489 UV/Vis Detector. The UPLC-MS/MS system for bioanalysis consisted of AcquityUPLC system (Waters Corp., Milford, MA, USA) coupled with a Mass Spectrometer (Xevo™ TQ-S, Waters Corp., Milford, MA, USA). The testosterone ELISA kit (R&D Systems, Minneapolis, MN, USA) was used for determination of testosterone in rat plasma.

Fetal Testosterone Levels: ELISA Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood samples were collected form 18 male fetuses per group. Serum from those fetuses was measured for testosterone concentrations by ELISA, as instructed by the Testosterone ELISA Kit (KGE010, R&D Systems, USA). Each sample was measured in triplicate.

Osteogenesis and Testosterone Markers in Prdx5KO Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The levels of specific markers of osteogenesis in the serum from WT and Prdx5Ko mice at 12 weeks were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) according to the manufacturer’s description. The RANKL levels were measured using a mouse RANKL ELISA kit (Abcam); the OPG levels were measured using a Quantikine ELISA (R&D Systems) kit; and the BMP2 levels were measured using mouse BMP2 ELISA kits, respectively (LSBio).
The testosterone levels in the serum from WT and Prdx5Ko male mice at 4, 8, and 12 weeks were measured using the testosterone ELISA kit (R&D Systems) according to the manufacturer’s description.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
