Water was purified by a Milli-Q Integral 3 system (Merck, Darmstadt, Germany). All other reagents were of the highest reagent grade and were used without further purification.

Methanol (MeOH) and tetrahydrofuran (THF) of HPLC grade, ethanol (EtOH, dry, 99.5%) trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) and aqueous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2, 31%, v/v) were obtained from Wako (Osaka, Japan).
