3 4 5 dimethyl 2 thiazolyl 2 5 diphenyl 2h tetrazolium bromide mtt assay kit

Manufactured by Merck Group
Sourced in United States

3-(4,5-Dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay kit is a colorimetric assay used to measure the metabolic activity of cells. The assay involves the reduction of the yellow tetrazolium dye MTT to a purple formazan product by the mitochondrial enzymes of viable cells. The amount of formazan produced is directly proportional to the number of living cells, which can be quantified spectrophotometrically.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
