Bonding Systems for CAD/CAM Ceramic Blocks

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
In this study, two types of bonding systems—a silane coupling agent (Ceramic Primer II, GC Corp., Tokyo, Japan) and an MMA-containing primer (Block HC Cem, Shofu, Kyoto, Japan)—were investigated. Eleven commercial CBs for the CAD/CAM system were chosen: Cerasmart 270 (C270), Cerasmart 300 (C300), Shofu block HC (HC), Shofu block HC hard (HCh), Katana Avencia block (Ka), Katana Avencia P block (KaP), Estelite block (Est), Estelite P block (EstP), KZR-CAD HR2 (KZ2), KZR-CAD HR3 GAMMATHETA (KZ3), VITA Enamic (Ena). Detailed properties of the bonding systems and the CBs are listed in Table 1 and Table 2, respectively.

Evaluation of CAD/CAM Composite Blocks

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The materials used in this study are listed in Table 1. The resin luting cement used were dual-cured resin luting cement Block HC Cem (Shofu, Kyoto, Japan), and 4-META/MMA-TBB resin cement Super-Bond. The two CAD/CAM composite blocks evaluated were Cerasmart (GC, Tokyo, Japan) and VITA Enamic (VITA Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, Germany). The silane coupling agent (Porcelain Primer, Shofu) and a primer (HC Primer, Shofu) were used.

CAD/CAM Composite Blocks and Resin Luting Cements

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The materials used in the present study are shown in Table 1. The resin luting cements used were: a silane- containing self-adhesive resin cement (SA, Panavia SA Cement Universal, known as "SA Luting Multi" in Japan; Kuraray Noritake Dental, Tokyo, Japan), and a dualcured resin luting cement (HC, Block HC Cem; Shofu, Kyoto, Japan) with a primer (HC Primer; Shofu).
Three different types of CAD/CAM composite blocks were used: Estelite P Block (EPB; Tokuyama Dental, Tokyo, Japan), Katana Avencia P Block (KAB; Kuraray Noritake Dental), and Shofu Block HC Super Hard (HCB; Shofu).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
