Mayer s haematoxylin

Manufactured by Fujifilm
Sourced in Germany, United States

Mayer's haematoxylin is a laboratory reagent used for staining and analyzing biological samples. It is a standard stain for cell nuclei and is commonly used in histology and cytology. The solution contains haematoxylin, a natural dye that binds to the DNA and RNA in cell nuclei, producing a blue-purple color. This stain is essential for visualizing and identifying cellular structures under a microscope.

Gonadal Histology Analysis Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Histological analysis was performed using the gonad of the individual sampled above in May 2022 for genome sequencing. Also, tissues of a male and a female collected in June 2022 were fixed in Bouin’s fixative and used for histological observations as a reference to the gonadal structure of each sex. All tissues were embedded in paraffin (Leica Biosystems, Nussloch, Germany), sectioned in 5 μm, and stained with Mayer’s haematoxylin (Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Co., Osaka, Japan) and eosin Y (Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Co.).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
