Polymer Molar Mass Characterization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Molar masses (MM) and molar mass distributions (dispersities, Đs) of all copolymers and precursors were determined by GPC. Samples were analysed using GPC (SECurity GPC System 1260 Infinity, Agilent Technologies). The flow rate at the time of calibration and of experimental sample analysis was 1 mL min−1 and the mobile phase used was THF with 5% Et3N. Samples were prepared by dissolution in the same solvent as the mobile phase and filtered using 0.45 μm PTFE filters prior to analysis. The system was calibrated with six PMMA standards.

Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)

The molecular weight (Mn and Mw) and polydispersity (Pdi) data as generated by GPC can be found in Table 4. GPC was conducted on an Agilent SECurity GPC System 1260 Infinity using THF as the solvent, a polystyrene standard, and a light scattering detector.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
