Quantitative RT-PCR for miRNA and mRNA

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Total RNA was extracted from cells or tissues using a RNA extraction kit (Qiagen) according to the manufacturers’ instructions. RNA was reverse transcribed to cDNA using Q-script kit (Quanta Biosciences, Gaithersburg, MD) and TaqMan MiRNA Reverse Transcription Kit (Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Quantitative real-time PCR was performed in a Quanta bio-studio (Applied Biosystems, Grand Island, NY) using the Taqman–based method for detection of gene amplification according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Relative miRNA or mRNA expression of target gene was normalized to the U6 control or GAPDH gene, respectively. Data was represented as fold change versus respective control.

Quantitative RT-PCR for Gene Expression Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Total cellular and exosome RNA were extracted using a RNA extraction kit (Cat# 217004, Qiagen), and RNA was reverse transcribed to cDNA using qScript cDNA SuperMix (Cat# 95048–025, Quanta Biosciences) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Quantitative RT-PCR was performed using Quanta bio-studio (Applied Biosystems, Grand Island, NY) using the Fast SYBR Green Master Mix (Cat# 4385612, Applied Biosystems) for detection of gene amplification by following manufacturer’s instructions. Relative mRNA expression of target gene was normalized to the β-Actin or GAPDH gene. The data were represented as fold change versus respective control.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
