The anesthetics, diazepam (Valium® 10 mg/2 ml) and ketamine (Ketamine hypochloride® 50 mg/ml) were obtained from Roche (Fontenay-sous-bois, France) and Rotex Medica (Tritau, Germany), respectively. The cytokine kit MILIPLEX® for lumiex® Xmap® Technology was obtained from Milipore (R&D systems, inc, Minneapolis, USA). Cancer antigen 15 − 3 (CA 15 − 3) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit was obtained from Monobind Inc® (California, USA). The alanine transaminase (ALT) and creatinine reagent kits were from Fortress Diagnostics Limited® (Muckamore, United Kingdom).
