The antibacterial properties of all peptides were determined by measuring the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) as described previously [22 (link)]. In brief, the MIC was defined as the concentration of peptides that inhibited 99% of the bacterial growth. Two-fold serial dilutions of respective peptides were inoculated in 96-well plates in Mueller-Hinton medium, followed by the addition of bacterial suspensions (2 × 105 CFU/ml) at the log growth phase. The plates were incubated at 37°C for 16 h, and absorbance was read at 600 nm using a SpectraMAX microplate reader (Molecular Devices, USA).
Escherichia coli kctc 1682
Escherichia coli (KCTC 1682) is a strain of the bacterium Escherichia coli, a commonly used microorganism in laboratory research and applications. This strain is maintained and distributed by the Korean Collection for Type Cultures (KCTC).

Antibacterial Activity of Casein Hydrolysates
A paper disc method (Advantec, Japan), impregnated with the compound, placed on the surface of the Mueller hinton agar. The 100 μL of casein hydrolysate fractions dispensed into each paper disc and incubated in the incubator for 37℃. After incubation for 24 hours, the diameter (mm) of the inhibition clear zone around the well measured and compared to each other.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
