Anti myc monoclonal antibody

Manufactured by Abcam
Sourced in United Kingdom

The Anti-MYC monoclonal antibody is a laboratory tool used to detect the presence and localization of the MYC protein in various biological samples. MYC is a critical regulator of cell growth and proliferation, and this antibody can be a useful tool for researchers studying MYC-related cellular processes.

Immunohistochemical Analysis of MYC and PCYT1A

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Immunohistochemistry was performed on 5 μm paraffin sections using anti-MYC monoclonal antibody (1:200) and anti-PCYT1A monoclonal antibody (1:100, Abcam), as previously reported.21 Protein expression levels were scored based on percentage of stained cells.22 (link)

ChIP Assay for OsERF101-Myc Transcription Factor

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For the ChIP assay, the Ubi : OsERF101-Myc and Ubi : Myc were transfected into rice protoplasts as previously described (Zhang et al., 2011 (link)). Protoplasts were then subjected to cross-linking with 1% formaldehyde for 30 min under vacuum. Then, nuclei were isolated and lysed, and chromatin complexes were isolated and sonicated, as described (Saleh et al., 2008 (link)). DNA was sonicated using a BIORUPTORII (COSMO BIO). Anti-Myc monoclonal antibody (Abcam, Cambridge, UK) and protein A agarose beads (Merck Millipore) were used for immunoprecipitation. DNA recovered from agarose beads was purified using the DNeasy Plant Mini Kit (Qiagen). Quantitative PCR was performed using the KAPA SYBR FAST qPCR Kit (KAPA Biosystems) and gene-specific primers (Supplementary Table S1).

Western Blot Analysis of Cellular Proteins

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Western blotting was performed as described previously.21 Anti-MYC monoclonal antibody (Abcam, 1:1000), anti-PCYT1A monoclonal antibody (Cell Signaling, 1:1000), anti-p-AKT monoclonal antibody (Cell Signaling, 1:1000), anti-p-ERK monoclonal antibody (Cell Signaling, 1:1000) and Anti-CDK6 monoclonal antibody (Cell Signaling, 1:1000) were used. Anti-Actin antibody (Cell Signaling, 1:2000) was used to ensure equivalent loading of total protein.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
