Msc adipogenic or osteogenic differentiation medium

Manufactured by ScienCell
Sourced in United States

The MSC adipogenic or osteogenic differentiation medium is a specialized cell culture medium designed to support the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into adipocytes or osteoblasts. The medium contains a proprietary formulation of growth factors, hormones, and other nutrients that promote the directed differentiation of MSCs towards the adipogenic or osteogenic lineages.

Upon reaching 100% confluence, the MSC complete medium was replaced with MSC adipogenic or osteogenic differentiation medium (ScienCell, Carlsbad, CA, USA) for 18–21 or 14–16 days, respectively, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After differentiation, the cells were stained with Oil Red O (Solarbio, Beijing, China) for adipogenic differentiation and Alizarin Red S (Solarbio) for osteogenic differentiation, respectively, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Thereafter, the cells were photographed using an optical microscope (Leica, Germany).

MSC Adipogenic and Osteogenic Differentiation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
After MSCs and MPCs reached 100% confluence, the MSC completion medium was replaced with MSC adipogenic or osteogenic differentiation medium (ScienCell Research Laboratories) and cultured for 20 or 15 days. Adipogenic differentiation and osteogenic differentiation were determined via staining with Oil Red O and Alizarin Red S (Solarbio, China), respectively. Thereafter, observations were made using an optical microscope (Leica, Germany). We used ImageJ software (US National Institutes of Health) for quantitative analysis of cell differentiation.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
