For the invasion assay, Cell Invasion Assay Kit (Millipore) was used. Cells (2 × 104) in 200 μl serum-free medium were added to the upper chambers and cultured for 48 h. Non-migrating or non-invading cells were removed with cotton swabs, cells that migrated or invaded to the bottom of the membrane were stained with the cell stain buffer and counted under microscope and photographed. Three independent experiments were performed for the same conditions.
