Braincap electrode cap

Manufactured by Brain Products
Sourced in Germany

The BrainCap electrode cap is a lab equipment product designed for neurophysiological research and clinical applications. The cap features a pre-configured array of electrodes that can record electrical activity from the scalp, enabling the measurement of brain signals. The BrainCap is built to provide reliable and consistent data collection for researchers and clinicians.

EEG Data Acquisition Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
EEG data were acquired using the V-Amp™ EEG amplifier (Brain Products™, Munich Germany) and the BrainCap™ electrode cap with sintered Ag/AgCI ring electrodes providing 16 EEG channels (Fc1, Fc2, Fz, F3, F4, F7, F8, Fp1, Fp2, Cz, Pz, P7, P8, Oz, O1, O2) and two ECG channels. (Falk Minow Services™, Herrsching-Breitburnn, Germany). Electrodes were positioned according to the standard 10/20 system. The reference electrode was between Fz and Cz. The raw EEG signal was sampled at 250 Hz and recorded using the Brain Vision Recorder™ software (Brain Products) with scalp impedance for each electrode kept below 20 kΩ.

EEG Recording with Eye Tracking

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
EEG was continuously recorded from 27 Ag/AgCl electrodes according to the 10/20 system, with a reference electrode between Fz and Cz. All electrodes were mounted on the BrainCap electrode cap (Brain Products GmbH, Munich, Germany). All signals were amplified using BrainAmp amplifier (Brain Products, Munich, Germany). The signals were digitized at a sampling rate of 1,000 Hz. Two sets of electrodes were placed on the upper and lower sides of the right eye, and the canthi of both eyes to measure participants' vertical and horizontal eye movements.

EEG Acquisition Protocol for Eye Tracking

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
EEG was continuously recorded from 64 Ag/AgCl electrodes (following the 10/20 system) with a reference electrode between Fz and Cz. All electrodes were mounted on a BrainCap electrode cap (Brain Products GmbH, Munich, Germany). All signals were amplified using the BrainAmp amplifier (Brain Products, Munich, Germany). The signals were digitized at a sampling rate of 1000 Hz. Two sets of electrodes were placed on the upper and lower sides of the right eye and on the canthi of both eyes, to measure participants' vertical and horizontal eye movements.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
