Gastric Ulcer Evaluation and Oxidative Stress

All animal groups were subjected to determinate gastric ulcer indices; lesion counts, total acidity, and gastric volume. Rat TGF-β1 (Transforming Growth Factor β1, CSB-E04727r), MMP-2 and MMP-9 (matrix metalloproteinase 2 and 9, CSB-E07411r, CSB-E08008r) and TIMP-1 (Tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase 1, CSB-E08005r) levels were measured using ELISA kits supplied by CUSABIO® Technology, LLC. The samples were determined using an ELISA plate reader from BioTek, Vermont, U.S.A.
