Gallein (TCI America) was dissolved in PBS, pH 7.8, to a concentration that provided a dose of 60 mg/kg (1.2 mg for a typical 20 g mouse in a total volume of 200 µl. Two hours prior to imaging, Gallein was administered intravenously through a tail vein injection. In vivo, 35 mg/kg Gallein was given i.p. daily for 7 days.
