Annexin 5 pi double staining

Manufactured by Beyotime
Sourced in China

Annexin V/PI double staining is a lab equipment used for detecting apoptosis in cells. Annexin V binds to phosphatidylserine, which is exposed on the cell surface during apoptosis. Propidium Iodide (PI) is a DNA-binding dye that can enter cells with compromised membranes, indicating loss of membrane integrity. This combination allows for the identification of early apoptotic, late apoptotic, and necrotic cell populations.

Apoptosis Evaluation in NP Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
NP cell apoptosis was evaluated by flow cytometry using Annexin V/PI double staining according to the manufacturer’s instructions (Beyotime). Briefly, after NP cells were harvested as described above and washed with PBS, they were resuspended in 600 μL of Annexin V-FITC binding buffer. Then, 15 μL of Annexin V and 30 μL of PI solution were added to the NP cell suspension and incubated for 20 minutes at room temperature. Finally, the cell apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry (FACS Aria; BD Company) via the FACSDiva software (Becton Dickinson, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA). These Annexin V positive-stained and PI-negative-stained cells and double positive-stained cells were regarded as dying cells in this assay.

Apoptosis Assay for HKFs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
After co-incubating with the conditioned medium for 48 h, apoptosis of HKFs was detected by annexin V/PI double staining (Beyotime, Shanghai, China). The operation was conducted based on the instructions. The BD Accuri C6 Plus Flow Cytometer (BD Biosciences, San Jose, CA, USA) was utilized for further analysis.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
