Optima 3300 rl

Manufactured by PerkinElmer
Sourced in France, United States

The Optima 3300 RL is a laboratory equipment product offered by PerkinElmer. It is a spectrometer designed for the analysis of elements in various sample types. The core function of the Optima 3300 RL is to perform elemental analysis using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) technology.

Ferumoxtran Uptake in Macrophages

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Ferumoxtran (100 µg Fe/mL) uptake by RAW264.7 macrophages and foam cells was determined after incubation for 1 h at 37°C. Quantitative determination of iron uptake by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (Optima 3300 RL, Perkin Elmer, Courtaboeuf, France) was carried out after mineralization of the pellet with HNO3 (3 h at 80°C).

Biochar and Biomass Characterization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The biochar and BMC were finely ground, and passed through ≤ 2-mm sieve for further analysis.
The pH and electrical conductivity (EC) were measured by using a digital pH and conductivity meter (Aquamax KF, GR Scientific, UK), at a solid: deionized water ratio of 1:5 (w/v). The CEC was measured by extracting the samples with 1N sodium acetate solution (pH = 8.2) (Sumner and Miller, 1996) . Acid neutralizing capacity (ANC) was determined by using the potentiometric titration method (Johnson, 1990) . The SSA was measured by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) adsorption method. Total C and N were determined by a CHN analyzer (PE-2400, Perkin Elmer, USA). Other nutrient contents (e.g., P, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu, Fe, and Mn) in the biochar and BMC were analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP -OES) (Optima 3300 RL, Perkin Elmer, USA) after digestion with HNO3-HCl mixture [3:1(v/v)] in a microwave digestion system (Discover @ SPD, CEM Corporation, USA). The crystal structure, morphology, and surface chemistry of BMC were studied through X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy(Supplementary Information).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
