Quantification of Bile Acids by LCMS

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A previously established liquid chromatography–mass spectroscopy (LCMS) method was used [22 (link),23 (link),27 (link)]. The concentrations of LCA, UDCA, and CDCA were measured in the plasma, ileum, liver, kidney, and faeces. The apparatus used for LCMS analysis consisted of a 5 µm particle size Phenomenex C-18 column (10 cm length, 2 mm internal diameter, Phenomenex Corporation, Torrance, CA, USA), with a Shimadzu LC-20 AD Prominence Liquid Chromatograph, DGU-20 A3 Shimadzu Prominence Degasser, and a Shimadzu SIL-20 AC HT Prominence Autosampler.

Quantification of Procyanidins by HPLC-DAD

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Procyanidins were measured by HPLC-DAD after thioacidolysis as described by Le Bourvellec et al., (2011) . Analyses were performed using an Ultra Fast Liquid Chromatography Shimadzu Prominence system (Kyoto, Japan) including two pumps LC-20AD Prominence liquid chromatograph UFLC, a DGU-20A5 Prominence degasser, a SIL-20ACHT Prominence autosampler, a CTO-20AC Prominence column oven, a SPD-M20A Prominence diode array detector, a CBM-20A Prominence communication bus module and controlled by LC Solution software (Shimadzu, Kyoto, Japan). The DP n of procyanidins was calculated as the molar ratio of all the flavan-3-ol (thioether adducts plus terminal units) to (-)-epicatechin and (þ)-catechin terminal units.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
