Quantitative viral RNA analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were plated in 96-well plates (in 3 biological replicates for each condition) and infected the next day with virus at the following MOIs: HAV (~5-10 focus forming units/cell), RV-A2 (~1 plaque forming units/cell), EV-71 (~0.2 plaque forming units/cell), EMCV (~0.2 plaque forming units/cell), HCV (~1 focus forming units/cell) and HBV (~1 focus forming units/cell). Cells were harvested, lysates reverse transcribed and quantitative PCR performed on a Bio-Rad CFX96 Touch system using the Power SYBR Cells-to-CT kit (Invitrogen). All viral RNA levels were normalized to 18S levels. Primer sequences can be found in Table S3.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
