The strains used in this study as shown in Table 1. Listeria monocytogenes (ATCC13932) was obtained from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) and grown in Luria-Bertani broth on a shaking incubator at 180 rpm overnight at 37°C. The bacteria solutions were continuously diluted with sterile PBS to different concentrations for IMS experiments. After magnetic separation, 100 μL of diluents, including supernatants and mAb-MB bacteria pellets, were spread onto selective PALCAM plates and incubated at 37°C for 18 to 24 h. The cell number of L. monocytogenes was determined by counting the colonies grown on the plates.

Pathogenic Bacteria Culture Preparation

Two reference cultures of pathogenic bacteria, Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium ATCC 14028 and Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 13932, were obtained from the American Type Culture Collection and used for contamination of model meat samples. Bacterial cultures were stored at the microbiology laboratory of the Food Institute of Kaunas University of Technology at minus 72–74 °C in a VIABANK system. Revitalization was performed in brain heart infusion broth (Liofilchem, Roseto, Italy).
