15n nitrite

Manufactured by Cambridge Isotopes
Sourced in United States

15N-nitrite is a stable isotope-labeled compound used as a research tool in various scientific applications. It provides a nitrogen-15 labelled version of the nitrite anion (NO2-). The core function of 15N-nitrite is to serve as a tracer or label in studies where the fate or behavior of nitrite is of interest, allowing researchers to track and quantify nitrite-related processes.

ARG [as L-arginine HCl], CIT [as L-citrulline], 4-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-1 piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES), CaCl2·4H2O, bovine brain calmodulin, (6R)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-l-biopterin (BH4), NADPH, ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), ethylene glycol tetraacetic acid (EGTA), and L-NG-Nitroarginine methyl ester (L-NAME) were purchased from Sigma (St. Louis, MO). 15N4-ARG [as its HCl, (U-15N4, 98%)], the internal standard for ARG, 13C6-ARG [as ARG:HCl (U-13C6, 98%)], the internal standard for CIT, D4-CIT [as L-citrulline (4,4,5,5-D4, 96.5 %)], and 15N-nitrite [as NaNO2 (15N, 98%+)] were obtained from Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. These compounds were used without further purification. Cell culture reagents were purchased from Invitrogen.

Wistar Rat Model for Nitric Oxide Study

The procedures described in this manuscript were approved by the Ribeirao Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, and followed the guiding principles published by the National Institutes of Health Guide for Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. Male wistar rats (250–400 g) were requested from the colony at University of São Paulo (Ribeirão Preto Campus, Brazil) and maintained on a 12-h light/dark cycle at a room temperature (22–25 °C) with free access to standard rat chow and water.
All reagents used in the present study were purchased from Sigma Chemical Co. (St Louis, MO, USA), except for diethylenetriamine NONOate (DETANONOate; Cayman Chemical; Ann Arbor, MI, USA), and nitrogen-15-labeled nitrite (15N-nitrite; Cambridge Isotopes Laboratories, Inc.; Andover, MA, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
