Bio plex luminex 200 multiplex assay system

Manufactured by Bio-Rad

The Bio-Plex Luminex 200 multiplex assay system is a laboratory instrument designed for the simultaneous detection and quantification of multiple analytes in a single sample. The system utilizes flow cytometry technology and magnetic microspheres coated with specific capture antibodies to allow for the rapid and efficient analysis of a wide range of biomolecules, including proteins, cytokines, and nucleic acids.

Multiplex Analysis of IGF-1/Akt Pathway

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Bio-Rad Bio-Plex Luminex 200 multiplex assay system (Bio-Rad) was used to determine the levels of specific proteins of the insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1)/Akt pathway (IGF-1, p70S6K, and p-p70S6K), with actin as a reference. For the analysis, 10 µg of skeletal muscle lysate protein was used. The analysis procedure was performed according to 'manufacturer's recommendations. Data were collected and processed using the Bio-Plex Manager software (Bio-Rad). The results were normalized to the amount of actin in the samples.

Murine and Human Serum Cytokine Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Murine blood samples were collected using the submandibular bleeding method and serum samples were subsequently isolated. Human and murine serum samples were immediately stored at ≤ −20 °C for later use. In order to analyze cytokine (human and murine IL-6, murine IL-23A, and IL-17A) serum levels, the MILLIPLEX® MAP Kit (Merck Millipore) using Bio-Plex® Luminex 200 multiplex assay system (Bio-Rad) was employed according to the manufacturer’s protocol. Human serum levels of sIL-6 and sIL-6Rα were measured using Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) kit (Duoset and Quantikine; R&D systems) according to the manufacturer’s protocol.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
