Plasma Cholesterol and Triglycerides Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The plasma values for total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides were analyzed by a DXC 600 chemistry analyzer (Beckman Coulter). A timed end-point method was used to determine the concentration for each of the respective chemistries.

Biochemical Measures in Murine Model

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All biochemical parameters from each of the 30 mice were measured. Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) was determined using a Beckman blood urea nitrogen kit, and serum creatinine (Scr) was measured with a DxC 600 chemistry analyzer (Beckman Coulter, IN USA) [18 (link)]. The fluorometric method was used to determine the activity of urinary NAG, which was defined as the production of 4-MU from 4-MU-NAG in 100 mM citrate buffer (pH 4.6–5.0) within 15 minutes, and the activity was measured at 370 nm/460 nm (excitation/emission wavelength) [21 (link)]. Urinary protein was determined via the Bradford method [22 (link)]. All the work of this study was shown in Fig 1.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
