Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio and C-Reactive Protein-Albumin Ratio

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
NLR and CAR levels within one week before treatment were retrieved from medical records. NLR was defined as neutrophil counts divided by lymphocyte counts. And neutrophil and lymphocyte counts were measured automatically using Mindray CAL8000 hematological analyzers (Mindray Corporation, Shenzhen, China). CAR was defined as the ratio of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) level divided by the serum albumin (Alb) level. Both CAR and Alb were measured automatically using Beckman Coulter AU5800 automatic biochemical analyzer (Beckman Coulter Corporation, California, USA).

Comprehensive Diabetes Evaluation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Using medical records, we collected clinical data, including age, sex, duration of diabetes, and medications, and blood glucose values using the iHealth software of the “Trinity Care” patient management system of our hospital, and weight, height, and brachial artery blood pressure of the right upper limb were measured by trained personnel. Fasting venous blood was collected and tested at the central laboratory of Chu Hsien-I Memorial Hospital, Tianjin Medical University. A Beckman Coulter AU5800 automatic biochemical analyzer (Beckman Coulter, Kraemer Blvd, Brea, CA, USA) was used to detect glycosylated serum albumin (GA), liver and kidney function, and blood lipids. Patients’ HbA1c levels were tested using a Sysmex XN instrument (Sysmex, Kobe, Japan). HbA1c test program conformed to the standard of the National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program.

Maternal Serum Uric Acid Levels

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Medical records were extracted from routine antenatal visits by obstetricians-gynecologists and nurses. Laboratory test results were obtained from the hospital's lab database. A sample of fasting venous blood was collected when pregnant women received antenatal care during pregnancy. Serum was obtained by centrifuge the whole blood sample. The Beckman Coulter AU5800 automatic biochemical analyzer in the hospital's clinical laboratory detected patient serum samples. All inspection operations were carried out in strict accordance with the relevant operating specifications. Each participant underwent a UA levels assessment in the first, second, and third trimesters.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
