Anti active caspase 3 pe antibody

Manufactured by BD

The Anti-active Caspase-3 PE antibody is a laboratory reagent that specifically binds to the activated form of Caspase-3, a key executioner enzyme involved in apoptosis, or programmed cell death. This antibody is conjugated with the fluorescent dye Phycoerythrin (PE), allowing for the detection and quantification of active Caspase-3 in cell samples using flow cytometry or other fluorescence-based techniques.

Detecting Apoptosis via Caspase-3 Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were treated with a Fixation/Permeabilization kit (BD) for intracellular staining and incubated with anti-active Caspase-3 PE antibody (#550821) (BD), according to standard protocol and analyzed by flow cytometry as described.
For immunofluorescence staining, cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with PBS/0.25% and stained with anti-Caspase-3 antibody (#700182) (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA, USA) and secondary antibody (#F0205) (Agilent Technologies). Stained cells were examined under fluorescence Axiovert microscope (Zeiss, Germany).

Apoptosis Detection in Retinoid-Treated Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For active Caspase 3/DAPI staining, in vitro-treated cells (5μM at-RA, 10μM retinol, 5μM 4-oxo-RA or DMSO) were harvested after 72 hours and subsequently stained with HSC/MPP surface markers and DAPI (1μg/ml) in PBS for 30 minutes. Cells were then fixed for 10 minutes at 4°C and permeabilized using Cytofix/Cytoperm (Becton Dickinson and Company). Intracellular staining with the antiactive Caspase 3-PE antibody (BD) was performed for at least 4 hours at 4°C in PermWash solution (Becton Dickinson and Company).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
