Procollagen col1a1 propeptide

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific
Sourced in United States

Procollagen (COL1A1 propeptide) is a laboratory product that serves as a marker for the detection and measurement of type I collagen biosynthesis. It provides a quantitative assessment of collagen production, which is useful in various research applications involving connective tissue, bone, and wound healing processes.

Staining was performed on 5-μm paraffin sections or cryosections. Slides were blocked with a blocking solution (3% BSA, and 0.2% Triton X-100 in PBS) for 2 h. Then, tissue sections were incubated at 4 °C overnight with primary antibodies: procollagen (COL1A1 propeptide, 1:50, Thermo Fisher Scientific) for the cryosections and rabbit anti-mouse FSP1 (1:100, Abcam, Cambridge, MA, USA) for the paraffin sections. Secondary antibodies conjugated with Alexa 594 (Thermo Fisher Scientific) were used. Coverslips were mounted by using Vectashield with 4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) (Vector Laboratories, Burlingame, CA, USA). Fluorescence images were recorded with FV10i fluorescence microscope (Olympus, Tokyo, Japan).

The 5 µm cryosections were incubated at 4°C overnight with primary antibodies: PDGFRβ (1:50, Cell signaling), procollagen (COL1A1 propeptide, 1:50, Thermo Fisher Scientific), periostin (1:50, Abcam). Secondary antibodies conjugated with Alexa 594 (Thermo Fisher Scientific) were used. Coverslips were mounted by using Vectashield with DAPI (Vector Laboratories, Burlingame, CA). Fluorescence images were recorded with FV10i fluorescence microscope (Olympus, Tokyo, Japan).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
