Barnstead e pure

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific
Sourced in United States

The Barnstead E-pure is a water purification system designed to produce high-purity deionized water. It utilizes a multi-stage filtration process to remove impurities from the water, including ions, organic matter, and particulates. The Barnstead E-pure provides a consistent supply of purified water for a variety of laboratory applications.

Dopamine Preparation in Artificial CSF

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All chemicals were purchased from Sigma Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). Stock solutions of dopamine HCl (10 mM) were made in 0.1 N perchloric acid and diluted to the desired concentration the day of experiment in artificial cerebrospinal fluid (aCSF) described previously [19 (link)] and comprised of (in mM): 125 NaCl, 4 KCl, 1.3 CaCl2, 1 MgCl2, 0.66 NaH2PO4, 2 Na2HPO4, 1 glucose, pH 7.4. All solutions were made in 18 mOhm water (Barnstead E-Pure, Thermo Scientific, Waltham, MA).

Purification and Characterization of β-Lactoglobulin

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
β-lactoglobulin (Blg, lot# JE 001-0-415), with a reported composition of 97.9% protein (91.5% Blg), 0.2% fat, 1.8% ash, and 4.4% moisture, was donated by Davisco Food International (Le Sueur, MN, USA). Blg was further purified of non-native protein and ions using a previously published protocol [29 (link)]. Glutaraldehyde, Fast Green FCF, d-limonene, sodium azide, hexanol and hexadecane were obtained from Sigma Chemical Co. (St. Louis, MO, USA). Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and Tween 20 were obtained from Fisher Scientific (Asheville, NC, USA). All other chemicals used were of analytical grade unless stated otherwise. All solutions were prepared using ultrapure water (σ ≥ 18 mΩ-cm) obtained from a filtration system (Barnstead E-pure, Thermo Scientific, Waltham, MA, USA).

Cricket Powder Extraction and Purification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Griopro® 100% Cricket Powder was purchased from All Things Bugs, LLC (Midwest City, OK). Petroleum ether, sodium carbonate, and Florosil were purchased from Fisher Scientific (Hampton, NH). Concentrated hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and n-heptane were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). Canola oil was purchased from a local market. Both n-heptane and canola oil were purified by Florosil adsorbent before use. Ultrapure water was obtained from a water filtration system (Barnstead E-pure, Thermo Scientific, Waltham, MA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
