Bovine beta-lactoglobulin, deferoxamine mesylate, ammonium iron (III) citrate, potassium ferrocyanide, dihidroxybenzene (catechol), dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHBA) were all purchased from Sigma (Sigma Aldrich, Steinheim, Germany).
