Interleukin 4 (il 4)

Manufactured by MultiSciences Biotech
Sourced in China

IL-4 is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the regulation of the immune system. It is responsible for the differentiation of naive T cells into Th2 cells and the stimulation of B cell proliferation and antibody production. IL-4 also inhibits the development of Th1 cells and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The core function of IL-4 is to promote the humoral immune response and regulate the balance between Th1 and Th2 immune responses.

Measurement of Neuroinflammatory Markers

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The mentioned culture supernatants yielded here were collected to cytokine concentrations of IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF (Multisciences, China), and the secretion of neurotrophic factor BDNF (Promega, USA) in the brain by a sandwich ELISA kits in line with the instructions of the manufacturer. The determinations were conducted in duplicate. The results are denoted as pg/mL.

Cytokine Profiling in Cell Samples

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Protein samples were prepared using the extraction buffer supplemented with a protease inhibitor PMSF as mentioned above. Homogenate was centrifuged at 12,000 rpm for 15 min at 4 °C, and the supernatant was collected for TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-4, IL-10 (MULTI SCIENCES), and thrombin (Elabscience) ELISA assay. The contents of the cytokines were expressed as pg/ml/105 cells for the supernatant, and pg/mg for the lysate of the cells and the cord tissues. Plates were read with a multifunctional enzyme marker (Biotek Synergy2) at a 450-nm wavelength.

Murine Serum Cytokine Profiling

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Mice serum preparation: orbital blood was collected and centrifuged at a speed of 3000 r min −1 for 15 min. The upper serum was taken out of a centrifuge tube and stored at – 70 ℃. Contents of IFN-γ (Lot No.228070832, Multi Science), TGF-β (Lot No.228170744, Multi Science), IL-4 (Lot No.220471131, Multi Science), IL-13 (Lot No.221371135, Multi Science), IL-6 (Lot No.220671132, Multi Science), IL-10 (Lot No.221070945, Multi Science), TNF- α (Lot No.218280443, Multi Science) in serum of mice were detected by sandwich ELISA assay according to the Kit instructions.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
