Pyruvate kinase

Curcumin with purity over 99% was obtained from Shanghai Winherb Medical Science Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) was purchased from Aladdin Reagent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). The following kits, hepatic glycogen, muscle glycogen, pyruvate kinase (PK), succinate dehydrogenase (SDH), malate dehydrogenase (MDH), Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase, Ca²⁺-Mg²⁺-ATPase, malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT)and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were all purchased from Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute (Nanjing, China). All other reagents were of analytical grade and stored according to the instructions.
