Physicochemical and Cooking Analysis of Rough and Smooth Soybean Seed Traits

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Data were analysed using GraphPad Prism version 8.1.2 for Mac OS X (GraphPad Software, La Jolla California USA, www.graphpad.com). The variation within each seed trait was analysed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Physicochemical parameters determined for the genetically classified rough- and smooth-seeded accessions were compared by unpaired t-tests using the Holm-Šidák method. Statistical significance was considered at p < 0.05.
Overall variation of the physicochemical, cooking, rheological, and basic composition characteristics was assessed by principal component analysis (PCA) using Tanagra data mining software, version 1.4.5 (Lyon, France) [24 ].

Statistical Analysis of Experimental Data

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Data are presented as mean ± SD of the number of experiments stated in figure legends. Data were analyzed by unpaired two-tailed Student’s t-test with Welch correction or as described in the figure legends. Statistical analysis was done using GraphPad Prism version 6.0e for Mac OS X (GraphPad Software). In all cases, P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The statistical significance is illustrated with p-values; *p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001; and ****p < 0.0001. Samples were only excluded from data if technical issues were evident.

Statistical Analysis for Biological Research

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All statistical analyses were undertaken in Prism 6 or 7 for Mac OS X (GraphPad). Details of individual tests and resulting p-values are included in figure legends and text where appropriate.

Statistical Analysis of Research Data

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Statistical analysis was performed using GraphPad Prism software version 5.0 for Mac OS X (GraphPad, San Diego, California USA) and STATA® software version 12.0 (StataCorp LP, College Station, TX, USA). We tested the null hypothesis against the alternative hypothesis with a two-sided type I error rate of 5% at a 90% power.

Statistical Analysis Protocols for Researchers

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Statistical tests were performed using GraphPad Prism version 7.0c for Mac OS X (GraphPad Software, La Jolla California, USA). Linear regression and correlation were used for scatter plots. One-way ANOVA with subsequent Tukey multiple comparison test was used to analyze group differences. Outliers were determined by the ROUT test, where Q = 1%, and excluded from further statistical analyses. For all analyses a confidence interval of 95% was used. Reference intervals were generated using the central 95% of the population (2–97.5 percentiles) as recommended [25 (link)].

Doxorubicin Cytotoxicity Assay with ALDH Inhibitor

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The cytotoxicity of doxorubicin (MP Biomedicals, Solon, OH), either alone or in
combination with the ALDH inhibitor DEAB, was determined by methylthiazol
tetrazolium (MTT) assays (Sigma-Aldrich).3 (link) The inhibitory concentration 50 (IC50) was calculated using
GraphPad Prism version 6.0 for Mac OS X statistics software (GraphPad Software,
San Diego, CA).

Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Results are presented as mean ± SEM. Repeated measures two-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparison tests were performed using Graph Pad Prism version 7.0a for Mac OS X (GraphPad software, San Diego, California, USA) to determine differences between groups.

Quantifying Bacopaside II Cell Growth

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Statistical analysis and the half maximal inhibitory concentrations (IC50) were determined using Prism version 7.0d for Mac OS X (GraphPad Software, La Jolla, CA, USA). An ordinary one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Tukey correction for multiple comparisons was used to analyse the quantitative PCR and western immunoblot data, comparing all cell lines to each other. For the cell growth data, an ordinary one-way (ANOVA) with Dunnett’s correction for multiple comparison was used to compare each concentration to 0 µM bacopaside II (vehicle alone).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
