Myd88 mice

Manufactured by Charles River Laboratories
Sourced in Japan

MyD88−/− mice are genetically-engineered mice that lack the MyD88 gene. MyD88 is an essential signaling adapter protein involved in the activation of innate immune responses. These mice can be used in research to study the role of MyD88 in various biological processes.

Specific pathogen-free male ICR wild-type, TLR2−/−, TLR4−/−, TLR9−/−, and MyD88−/− mice were purchased from Charles River Laboratories Japan, Inc. (Yokohama, Japan). The mice were housed under a 12:12-hr light/dark cycle with
lights on at 600 hr in a thermoregulated room maintained at 24 ± 2.0°C. Humidity was maintained in the range of 55 ± 10%, and AIN-93G food (CLEA Japan, Inc., Tokyo, Japan) and water were provided. Dissection was performed at the
age of 8 to 10 weeks. The animals were treated in accordance with Kirin Company’s ethical guidelines for animal care, handling, and termination.

All animal care and experimental procedures were performed in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee for Animal Experimentation at Kirin Company. These studies were approved by the Committee for Animal Experimentation at Kirin Company. Mice were kept in a room maintained on a 12:12-h light-dark cycle at a temperature of 23 ± 1 °C. Mice for BM-DCs assays were provided with a standard mouse chow (CE-2; CLEA Japan, Tokyo, Japan) and mice for the in vivo study were provided with AIN-93G (Oriental Yeast, Tokyo, Japan). BALB/c, C57BL/6 J and C57 BL/6 J Tlr4−/−, Tlr9−/− and Myd88−/− mice were obtained from Charles River Laboratories Japan (Kanagawa, Japan). 129/Sv mice were obtained from Japan SLC, Inc. (Shizuoka, Japan).

C57BL/6 and MyD88−/−mice were purchased from Charles River, Maryland while, TLR2−/− and pmel (B6.Cg-Thy1/Cy Tg(TcraTcrb)8Rest/J) mice were purchased from the Jackson Laboratory. The IRAK4 kinase dead mice were a generous gift from Dr. Stefanie Vogel and 4-1BB−/− mice from Dr. Lieping Chen. 4-1BB−/−pmel and MyD88−/−pmel mice were obtained by crossing pmel with 4-1BB−/−and MyD88−/− mice and crossing offspring over nine generations. All the protocols were approved by the University of Maryland Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
