Formulation and Evaluation of HCTZ Tablets

Eudragit® RS100 (referred to as RS100) and Eudragit® RL100 (referred to as RL100) were kindly donated by JJ Degussa Chemical (Thailand) Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand. Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC; Avicel PH101) was obtained from FMC (Philadelphia, USA). Polyvinylpyrrolidone K30 (PVP K30) was obtained from BASF (Thai) Co., Ltd. (Bangkok, Thailand). All other chemicals were of reagent grade or pharmaceutical grade and used without further purification.

Synthesis and Characterization of Amphiphilic Compounds

Formulation Development of Solid Dispersions

CMC), lecithin, methylcellulose, and phosphate-buffered saline tablet were purchased from Sigma Chemical Co. (St. Louis, MO, USA). HPLC grade acetonitrile and methanol were purchased from J.T. Baker (Phillipsburg, NJ, USA). All other chemicals were of analytical grade and used without further refinement.

Formulation of Poorly Soluble Drug in PLGA

Sodium hydrogenphosphate monohydrate (NaH 2 PO 4 .H 2 O) was supplied by Merck (Darmstadt, Germany). Acros Organics (Geel, Belgium) supplied dimethylformamide (DMF) and ammonium formiate. Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80) was obtained from Alfa Aesar GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany). Polyethyleneglycol 400 (PEG) was purchased from Fagron (Waregem, Belgium). Dichloromethane (DCM) and acetonitrile (ACN) were provided by Fisher Scientific (Leicestershire, United Kingdom). All solvents used were of HPLC or analytical grade. Ultrapure water was produced with an Elga Maxima system (Elga Ltd. High Wycombe Bucks, United Kingdom).
