Acetonitrile, methanol, water, and formic acid (LC-MS grade) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich Chemie GmbH (Buchs, Switzerland). 2 M Folin-Ciocalteau reagent and anhydrous sodium carbonate (both from Sigma) were used to measure the TPC.
