Arbutin standard was obtained from CPAchem Ltd. (Bogomilovo, Bulgaria) and hydroquinone standard from Sigma-Aldrich (Poznan, Poland). Deionised water obtained from a Hydrolab Polska HLP 5P (Hydrolab, Poznan, Poland) deioniser was used.
