β actin specific antibodies

Manufactured by Santa Cruz Biotechnology
Sourced in United States

β-Actin-specific antibodies are reagents used in various research applications to detect and quantify the presence of the β-actin protein in biological samples. These antibodies specifically bind to and recognize the β-actin protein, which is a highly abundant and ubiquitous cytoskeletal protein found in all eukaryotic cells. The core function of these antibodies is to serve as tools for the analysis and study of β-actin expression and distribution in different cell types and tissues.

Polyclonal Antisera Generation for Ca-α1T

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A polyclonal antisera against Ca-α1T was generated using antigen derived from the 302 C-terminal amino acids of Ca-α1T (cloning primers: 5′-GAATTCCAAATTAATCCAATCCGTA-3′, 5′-GCGGCCGCTTAGTCCATGGAGGATT-3′). His-tagged antigen was expressed in E. coli, purified and injected into rabbits to generate an immune response (YoungIn Frontier, South Korea). Western blot analyses were performed according to standard protocols using rabbit antisera obtained after the third Ca-α1T antigen boost. β-Actin-specific antibodies (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, sc-47778) were used for the loading control.

Western Blot Analysis of S100A9 Protein

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Samples (30 µg protein per lane) were subjected to electrophoresis in 12% SDS-polyacrylamide gels and then blotted onto PVDF membranes. Membranes were blocked for 1 h at room temperature with 5% dry skim milk in TBS (20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.6, and 137 mM NaCl plus 0.1% [vol/vol] Tween 20) and then probed with S100A9 or β-actin–specific antibodies (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc.), followed by secondary antibody conjugated with horseradish peroxidase. Results were visualized by chemiluminescence detection (GE Healthcare).

TEN (purity >98%) was purchased from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products (Beijing, China). STZ, 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal (4-HNE), thiobarbituric acid (TBA), paraformaldehyde, hematoxylin, and eosin were purchased from Sigma (St. Louis, USA). Superoxide dismutases (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and malondialdehyde (MDA) kits were obtained from Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Research Institute (Nanjing, China). Total tau, ser396-phosphorylated tau, thr181-phosphorylated tau, and β-actin-specific antibodies were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology Inc. (Santa Cruz, CA, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
