50:50 poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA), Methylene chloride, and ammonium bicarbonate were obtained from Jinan Daigang Biomaterial Co., Ltd (Jinan, Shandong, China). 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylcholine (DSPC) and 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanola-mine-N-[methoxy (polyethylene glycol)-2000] (DSPE-PEG2000) were acquired from Avanti Polar Lipids Inc. (Alabaster, AL, USA). Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA, Mw, 30,000–70,000), ammonium bicarbonate ((NH₄)HCO₃), pentobarbital sodium, Curcumin (Cur), Evans blue (EB) and 1-Methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich (St Louis, MO, USA). Polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG-6000) was purchased from Solarbio Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). All other chemicals were of analytical grade and used without any further purification.
