Reagents for liposome formulation: cholesteryl hemisuccinate (CHEMS) purchased from Sigma–Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA); 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DOPE) and [N-(Cabonyl-methoxypolyethyleneglycol-2000)]-1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine sodium salt (DSPE_PEG) purchased from Lipoid (Ludwigshafen, Germany). The active peptide [D-Gln4]LR and the internal standard (IS) for quantitative analysis, LR-Ala7, were synthesized as previously described [21 (link),22 (link)]. All the other reagents were of analytical grade.
Cholesteryl hemisuccinate chems
Cholesteryl hemisuccinate (CHEMS) is a laboratory reagent used in various biochemical and biophysical applications. It is a derivative of cholesterol with a hemisuccinate group attached. CHEMS is commonly used as a surfactant and emulsifier in the preparation of liposomes and other lipid-based systems. Its core function is to facilitate the formation and stabilization of lipid-based structures, which can be utilized in research and experimental settings.

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
