Matrigel coated 6 well plates

Manufactured by Avantor
Sourced in Germany

MatrigelTM-coated 6-well plates are cell culture plates with a surface coated with a solubilized basement membrane preparation extracted from Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) mouse sarcoma cells. This coating provides a more physiologically relevant substrate for cell attachment, growth, and differentiation.

Hypoxic Culture of Human Stem Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were grown at 37 °C in a humidified environment under hypoxic conditions (5% O2, 5% CO2, and 90% N2). Cells were cultured in mTeSRTM1 (Stemcell Technologies, Cologne, Germany) on MatrigelTM-coated 6-well plates (VWR, Darmstadt, Germany; 0.083 mg/well) in 1 mL KnockoutTM DMEM (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Bremen, Germany). For passaging, cells were treated with 1 mg/mL collagenase IV (Thermo Fisher Scientific) in Knockout DMEM for 5–7 min at 37 °C, followed by rinsing once in Knockout DMEM, and subsequently mechanical dissociation and seeding at a 1:10–1:100 split ratio with daily medium replacement.

Culturing hiPSCs in mTeSR1 Media

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
HiPSCs were cultured at 37 °C, 95% humidity, and 5% CO2. Cells were cultured in mTeSRTM1 (Stemcell Technologies) supplemented with 1% gentamycin (Thermo Fisher Scientific) on MatrigelTM-coated 6-well plates (VWR; 0.083 mg/well) in 1 ml Knockout™ DMEM (Thermo Fisher Scientific). For passaging, cells were treated with 1 mg/ml collagenase IV (Thermo Fisher Scientific) in Knockout DMEM for 30 min at 37 °C or Gentle Cell Dissociation Reagent (Stemcell Technologies) for 7 min at room temperature, followed by rinsing once in Knockout DMEM, and subsequently mechanical dissociation and seeding at a 1:10 − 1:100 split ratio with daily medium replacement.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
