Somatostatin elisa kit

Manufactured by Phoenix Pharmaceuticals
Sourced in United States

The Somatostatin ELISA kit is a laboratory equipment product designed to detect and quantify somatostatin, a hormone involved in the regulation of various physiological processes. This kit utilizes the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique to measure somatostatin levels in biological samples.

Quantification of Pancreatic Hormones

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Proteins (insulin, glucagon, and somatostatin) were extracted from 50 IEQs using 300 µL RIPA buffer (Sigma-Aldrich) containing protease and phosphatase inhibitor (Nacalai Tesque, Inc., Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan). Insulin content was measured using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with the Mouse Insulin ELISA Kit (RTU) (FUJIFILM Wako Shibayagi Co., Shibukawa, Gumma, Japan). Somatostatin content was determined using the Somatostatin ELISA kit (Phoenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Burlingame, CA, USA). iMark Plate Reader (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.) at OD450 with Microplate Manager Software (ver. 6.3, Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.) was used for reading sample absorbance.

Serum Hormone Quantification via ELISA

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Insulin, glucagon, GLP-1, and leptin ELISA kits were obtained from Crystal Chem (#90080, #81518, #81508, #90030). The somatostatin ELISA kit was obtained from Phoenix Pharmaceuticals (EK-060-03). Mouse whole blood was collected via tail tip, and serum was isolated after clotting by centrifuging at 10,000 rpm for 10 min. Between 5 and 20 μL of serum or secretion sample were used for ELISA per the manufacturer’s protocol. Each sample was assayed in triplicate.

Blood Serum Analysis in Fasted Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The mice were fasting 4 hours before collection of the whole blood. The serum was collected by centrifuge at 2,000 x g for 10 minutes at 4°C. The ELISA was preformed according to the manual. The leptin ELISA kit (catalog # 90030) was purchased in Crystal Chem, IGF‐1 ELISA kit (catalog # MG100) was R&D SYSTEM, the high‐molecular‐weight adiponectin ELISA kit (catalog # 47‐ADPMS‐E01) was ALPCO, and somatostatin ELISA kit (EK‐060–03) was phoenix pharmaceuticals.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
