Tacs2 tdt dab

Manufactured by Bio-Techne

The TACS2 TdT-DAB is a laboratory reagent produced by Bio-Techne. It is used for the detection of DNA fragmentation associated with apoptosis, a programmed cell death process. The product utilizes terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) to label DNA ends, which are then visualized using a chromogenic detection system.

1

Lung Apoptosis Quantification by TUNEL

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Apoptotic cells in the lung were detected by TUNEL assay using the in situ apoptosis detection kit (TACS2 TdT-DAB; Trevigen, Gaithersburg, MD) according to the manufacturer’s instructions except that hematoxylin was used for counterstaining. The number of positive cells was counted under microscope.

Paraffin IHC Protocol for Cancer Research

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Paraffin-embedded tissue blocks were used for IHC in the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Pathology Core Facility as previously described (40 (link)). The antibody to Dach1 (10914-1-AP, Proteintech), Ki67 (RM-9106-S1, Thermo) and TUNEL (TACS2 TdT DAB, Trevigen) was previously described (28 (link)).

Apoptosis and Caspase Activities in Liver

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Apoptotic cells in the liver were detected by TUNEL assay using an in situ apoptosis detection kit (TACS2 TdT-DAB; Trevigen) as per the manufacturer’s instructions and the positive cells were counted under a microscope. To measure caspase-3, caspase-8, and caspase-9 activities, a colorimetric assay kit (MBL, Nagoya, Japan) for each caspase was used. Livers were homogenized in the lysis buffer provided in the kit and the activities in cytosolic extracts (150 µg protein) were measured. Protein concentrations in the extracts were measured in a protein-dye binding assay (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Hercules, CA, USA).

Apoptosis Quantification in Tissues

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) (TACS2 TdT DAB, Trevigen) staining was used as a measure of apoptosis in tissues as previously described [85 (link)]. Apoptosis was quantified by Flow Cytometry using the Annexin V-Cy5 apoptosis detection kit, as per the manufacturer’s instructions (Abcam).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
