Quantikine human egf immunoassay kit

Manufactured by R&D Systems
Sourced in United States

The Quantikine Human EGF Immunoassay Kit is a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) designed for the measurement of human epidermal growth factor (EGF) concentration in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma. The kit utilizes a microplate pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for human EGF.

Quantitative hEGF Immunoassay Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For hEGF expression assay, the Quantikine Human EGF immunoassay kit (R&D system, USA) was used according to the manufacture's instruction. A standard curve was created by plotting the mean absorbance at 570 nm for each standard on the y-axis against the concentration on the x-axis. The amount of hEGF was determined by referring the absorbance value of the samples at 570 nm to the hEGF standard curve. The data were linearized by plotting the EGF concentrations versus the log of the absorbance and the best-fit line was determined by regression analysis.

WT and KO cells were seeded on uncoated 6-well plates and after 24 h the cells were incubated with serum-free media. After 72 h, the media was collected, and stored at −80 °C until assay. EGF in the media was assayed using a Quantikine® Human EGF Immunoassay kit (R&D Systems), according to a procedure described by the manufacturer.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
