Behavioral Assessment of SIRT2 Knockout Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All the procedures involving animal use were in compliance with the policies of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at Boston University (protocol #: 14-033). C57BL/6J wild-type (#000664) and SIRT2 knock-out mice (B6.129-Sirt2tm1.1Fwa/J, #012772) were obtained from Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME). Mouse colonies were maintained in the Laboratory Animal Care Facility (LACF) at Boston University, Charles River Campus. The mice aged 8–15 weeks of either sex were randomly selected from different litters. Only mice with normal body size, morphology and no observable disabilities were used for the experiments.

Mouse Genetic Models for Research

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All animal experiments were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees of the Emory University and Yonsei University College of Medicine, and were performed in accordance with federal guidelines. C57BL/6J wild-type (#000664) or transgenic mice carrying a GFP reporter driven by human ubiquitin C (UBC-GFP, #004353) promoters or an mCherry reporter driven by the MYH6 promoter (MYH6-mCherry, #021577) were purchased from Jackson Laboratory. Nkx2–5-GFP transgenic mice were kindly given by Dr. Richard P. Harvey (Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute)56 (link).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
